For adults with no symptoms or risk factors for eye disease, we recommend a comprehensive eye exam every 1-2 years. Children should have their first eye exam at 6 months, another at age 3, and again before starting school. Adults over 60 should have annual exams. Those with existing eye conditions or risk factors may need more frequent examinations as recommended by their optometrist.
We accept most major vision insurance plans including VSP, EyeMed, Spectera, Davis Vision, and many others. We also work with many medical insurance providers for medical eye care services. Please contact our office with your insurance information before your appointment so we can verify your benefits.
A comprehensive eye examination typically takes about 30-60 minutes, depending on the tests required and whether you need pupil dilation. If you're also selecting new frames afterward, you may want to allow for additional time. Contact lens fittings or specialty exams may require more time as well.
Standard single vision glasses typically take 7-10 business days to complete. Progressive lenses or specialty prescriptions may take 10-14 business days. We offer rush services for an additional fee if you need your glasses sooner. You'll receive a notification when your glasses are ready for pickup.
Yes, we offer adjustment services for glasses purchased elsewhere for a nominal fee of $20. Adjustments for glasses purchased at Fashion Optic are always complimentary. Please note that we cannot be responsible for any damage that may occur when adjusting frames not purchased from our store.
